I have always felt that "Intra-corp aggression" should be something that the CEO of a corp can set. Not because of AWOXing, but because when you are in charge of a corp, you should get to decide how your corp operates.*
Things like recruitment scams, tax scams, corp theft, etc. are all easier if there are more players in or joining player corps. It's pretty much a given that the threat of AWOXing has kept a lot of players out of player corps, and that providing an option to disable it should encourage more players to join player corps. So while AWOXing per se will be come harder, there will be increased opportunities for other...nefarious behaviors.
I see this as win-win. AWOXers will just have to step up their game, and may potentially get bigger rewards for doing so.
*Side note: I feel like changing the Intra-corp aggression status of a corp should come with at least a 48 hour warning. (I'd say 24 hour, but with the 24 hour cooldown period for dropping roles, you'd need 48 hours total to leave with 24 hours notice.)

"Safer" is not the same as "safe".
PvP can happen anywhere in EvE from the time you log in until the time you log out.
This is by design, and I think it would be to EvE's detriment were to CCP implement actual "PvP-free" zones.

This is by design, and I think it would be to EvE's detriment were to CCP implement actual "PvP-free" zones. It has already been stated that they intend to remove all combat from highsec (0.5 and above) sometime mid this year. No wardecs, no duels, no ability to attack anyone else. To do that you must go to 0.4 and below. This is the new order of high sec, bears win. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Or, in layman's terms, link or it didn't happen.
If CCP really does remove all combat from hisec they will effectively kill the game. I wouldn't keep playing, and neither would many of the folks I know.

Veers Belvar wrote:You can always suicide gank. There should be no consequence free nonconsensual PvP in highsec. There isn't. When you wardec someone that has consequences, namely the loss of ISK, the risk of all of the corp's in-space assets, and the total inability to exit the war before the current period is over.
You may not like the consequences of non-consensual hisec PVP, but they're there. Wardecs are generally so one-sided due to human nature (i.e. risk aversion), not game mechanics.
Also, you keep saying that hisec "should" be rid of non-consensual PvP. Do you have anything to back this assertion up, or is it simply an opinion?
